Let's talk about Vinyl

A brief discussion of types of Vinyl

When I started out in crafting a couple of years ago, Vinyl was a huge topic of discussion. HTV or heat transfer vinyl is a specific vinyl that is typically used for fabrics, requires a heat press, a cutter and a product that won't melt at 356F. I tried out using vinyl, realized I like it for specific things like the bag pictured here, larger bags for shopping, banners, and other easy to press items. T-shirts are not really in my bailiwick.

My favorite vinyl is permanent, you can cut it, apply it, and with some aging you can wash it, put it on a car, a cup, a sign, the uses are pretty varied and fun. You will be able to find examples in our gallery soon, just let your imagination think of all the fun places you can stick it up.

The final vinyl for me is sticker vinyl, comes in many qualities, holographic, shiny, matte, stickers can be for your business, your children, or just as fun impulsive gifts. We'll have stickers in the store so you can check them out and get some ideas.
